I am on mg per 2 week and I use cypionate for three years. My changes are very slow.
I do not have a full beard or any chest hairs. My legs are still almost hairless.

My doctor usually have me take my blood tests right after 7 days of my last shot.
My levels are usually in 600 to 700 in my blood test results.

Recently, I took blood tests on my 13th day of my shot.
that would be my "trough" level.
My result is that my T level is 28.
It is really low for a male.

I wonder what I should be doing about my blood tests and I wonder if my dosage is too low.

Now, I want to know what everyone on this community is doing with their blood test timing and their dosages. I also I want to know what my T level should be in my "trough" blood test result?

1. how many days do you always have your blood test taken after your last shot?
2. what is your blood test results from your last test?
3. what T level should be on "trough" blood test?

As far as T numbers mine are on the higher side- Day before shot over 1200. I am doing a follow up blood test this month to see if they have lowered. Even with my higher levels I have hardly any hair growth. I have only been on T 10 months. I think some guys just get more hair than others.

Whoa.  The day before you take a shot should be the trough level.  That is one heckuva trough.

To the OP:

1) My shots are weekly.  I take them on Sunday.  The ideal day for taking trough level would be Saturday, but the lab isn't open; my doctor said Friday tests would be OK.

2) Regrettably, I don't have my exact number.  My doctor commented that my testosterone was within male range and therefore OK.

3) You should double-check with your doctor, but I believe that the trough should still be within male range.

With regards to hair/beard growth--a lot of that is genetics.  I am 1 year on T and essentially have no facial hair and only a few hairs around my nipples for chest hair.  I do have a happy trail, so that's happy.  The guys in my family aren't really hairy; my hair pattern closely resembles that of my grandfather.  Rest of my comments in PM.

Are you getting other regular blood tests? What about estrogen levels?
And total test is not the same as 'free' test.

yeah that was the day before my T shot, I think it was 1285 or 1235 something like that. I guess my trough number is 1200. (probably why my liver number is so bad and my hair line is heading south rather quickly!)
28 seems really low to me . I think 600-900 is more desirable?
Definitely check with your doc on that.

With cyp/enen/prop injections not going directly into your liver but intra-muscular thus bypassing the liver, the "toxic influence on the liver is minimal" so that a liver damage is unlikely (also known as not-very-possible.)
Just to put that out there so no-one becomes unduly paranoid about liver toxicity.

That is why you should definitely do this with a doctor there is a chance of liver issues and if you are not with a doctor you will not know if you are having them.  Yes I have liver issues and my doc is trying to get it under control so there is a chance it can happen I am living proof of it. This is why it is so important to use a doctor, or medical person versus self medicating. If it says not very likely that means it happens to someone and you definitely don't want to be the one it is happening too.

Chiming in as 'medical proof #2'--I'm on a reduced T dose due to elevated RBC & liver levels as well.  Never had an issue with these things before T.  Just an FYI to the rest of you guys... it can happen.
