Thank you. This is a learning experience for us and the doctor which is why he is consulting with others. Like he said he may see a part such as lactose tubes and feel that's what they are but they may not be. At least he's taking the right steps to help. My uterus and 1 overy is not of question. I have one ovary and one testi, which the latter luckily allowed us to have kids. I'm trying to pass things along as they come to us so others may learn like we are from this.

Sorry if this is a bit personal, but was your ovary where the testes normally are, or did you always only have 1 nut in the sack?  Also, if they were both down there (I'm assuming because you never noticed anything), did one feel different than the other?  I'm just extremely interested.

Yes, they are both side by side to each other. The ovary feels a bit larger and more oval. As well, the skin between the 2 of them creases in some forming what looks like a small opening going nowhere. I noticed these 2 things all my life and though one would have to stare closely to see them I never felt comfy being nude around other guys for fear of being laughed at.

Thanks for answering Kim.  It was when you said that you had kids that sparked my interest.  I had discounted several possibilities on the sole basis that I was able to have kids, although I probably shouldn't have done that.  My gonads (medical term for ovaries or testes) have always been a bit different from each other too, but I've had exams of them (including an ultrasound) and nobody said anything like one of them looking funny, so I assume this is not the case for me.  However, 1 did shrink significantly more than the other (if at all with that one) on HRT and I would assume spiro wouldn't affect ovaries.  Also, as far as I can tell, there's no scarring in that area, so I doubt any kind of surgery was performed.  It's just all very weird.  I'm glad you are able to find answers.

I wish I knew the answer to give you on this one. As I said, even the internet seems vague and limited on intersexual and every expert seems to have their own opinion. Some state no way I should be able to produce while others say it is possible depending on the functionality of the testi. Either way (and I know it's a bit different but nice to know) you are a terrific lady and I am glad all is going so well for you too.

  We got a call from my doctor late last week. He and the doctor he's consulting with in Montreal are trying to become pioneers in Canada so to speak. They are going to approach our new government and try for a change in the medicare system. This is not so much just for me but for any IS and who knows, maybe someday it will apply to a TS too. They feel that an IS such as myself who has an ovary,uterus,lactose glands and is willing to accept who she is and wants GRS should have the surgery provided by medicare at no cost to herself. They are arguing that in such cases as this the surgery should not be deemed 'cosmetic', but rather it should be deemed 'corrective' surgery. Makes sense to me, though I have sneaky doubts about it passing. If by some miracle it does it could pave the way for other areas to do same thing. We are talking right now but my wife and I are not fully sure yet as to our choice if it does pass. The other argument they are pushing it on is pro-creation and humanitary reasoning. If an IS has the organs there is a possibility she may be able to carry a child to term, though it may be aminiscule possibility. Nobody knows for sure if she will be successful as research is so haphazzard on an IS doing so. None the less they feel the humane choice is to allow her to try asnd as such surgery should be sponsored. All we can do is hope for the best. As I said before this is new to my doctor but the one he's consulting with in Montreal has had IS patients so hopefully they know what they are doing. I am 38 which may be an issue though as my age is a risk factor even for a gg I believe so I may be double risk to carry. Just the thought of it makes me cry in joy as I never thought even an IS had a chance at such a wonderful event.
   If we decide to do this the doctor will take my sperm before the surgery and some eggs from my wife and do whatever that mixing process is called again (slipped my mind) andfreeze them. After I heal they will implant them back in me and let God decide and guide them on this. We are seriously considering it. Just call me guinea pig I guess but you got to do what you got to do to be happy. My hopes aren't flying out of control as most of this is in the government's hands and we all know what government is like. They are liable to refuse and be so proud on beating down a minority group that they agree they deserve a big fat raise!! lol

Thank you Tinkerbell. We may have to appear before the government house as well but it's all worth it if we can better lives of others in this.
