Thanks for answering Kim. It was when you said that you had kids that sparked my interest. I had discounted several possibilities on the sole basis that I was able to have kids, although I probably shouldn't have done that. My gonads (medical term for ovaries or testes) have always been a bit different from each other too, but I've had exams of them (including an ultrasound) and nobody said anything like one of them looking funny, so I assume this is not the case for me. However, 1 did shrink significantly more than the other (if at all with that one) on HRT and I would assume spiro wouldn't affect ovaries. Also, as far as I can tell, there's no scarring in that area, so I doubt any kind of surgery was performed. It's just all very weird. I'm glad you are able to find answers.
