To be honest I wanted to like this movie, I liked the premise and it looked interesting in the trailer. But in the end it turns out to be little more then Terminator meets the Nativity story.
It isn't the actors, heck even the worse of them manage to breath some life into this hockey movie. They play it straight lace and do it so that you actually come to some sympathy for their characters. To bad they waste their scenes in ridiculous and predictable ways. Not sure why they call it 'Legion' at all, it should have been called Micheal. The fallen angel takes over most of the show, and the time he isn't on screen is less then a fourth of the time he is.
The plot? Well the premise is that God is pissed off and is ending the world, and Michael is here to protect the mother of the child that a group of possessed people are trying to kill. If that does sound hokey to you then save your money, it gets worse from there on in. The big revelation (no pun intended) Micheal gives halfway through makes absolutely no sense. Worse is that it is mentioned once, the cast argues, then everyone outspokenly agrees never to talk about it or question it again the entire movie. Which is to bad, considering it is a departure from the norm of good vs. evil in these kinds of movies and makes an interesting twist to the story. That is if anyone had bothered to try to explain it out at all.
But in the end the movie made so many comparisons to the original terminator movies that I half expected Michael at some point to reach to someone and say, "come with me if you want to live." It sets up for an obvious sequel which means next time i'm saving my money for the rental.
