Hey there all,
I'm new and whatnot so I figured that I'd start out with the default 'who is this person?' post.
My name is Victoria Mitchell. I'm a 30-year old pre-op trans woman seeking GRS and FFS.
A short version of my story is the typical "always different, always knew in the back of the head, starts and stops" transition build up tale. There's tons of drama and identity mess in there to pad out the story into what we've come to know in the trans community oh-so-well so I'll simply spare you all that noise.
I've been transitioning since July last year and have been WPATH 'full-time' since... umm... well... August. That happened really fast but work needed to get done and it wasn't an option for me to present male anymore so, that was that. HRT starts in two weeks (just getting around to finishing up with reproductive banking) and I'm looking forward to it SO MUCH I COULD SCREAM. I've got a beautiful partner who took the GID issue in stride and we plan on staying together for good (though we're aware of HRT risks there for that possibility.) Other than that, I'm just your typical software developer geek-girl who still likes anime too much and visits her lovely daughter as often as she can.
Life is good. Some days are harder than others. Some days are too easy for words.
I come here looking to find a place where I can discuss things that matter to me but can't get resolved in support groups (most girls there are somewhat less, um, relatable to me than I find all that useful.) I've lurked for a while here and everyone seems both amazingly kind as well as knowledgeable, so I've come looking for a place in the conversation.
I'll do the rest of the pic posting and whatnot here soon but I wanted to put this out before I start asking questions or commenting all over someone's posts.

P.S. - I tend to be wordy. Apologies in advance for all the essays that I'm sure that I'll be writing as replies to posts.
