Hi all. My name is Shelly.  I am a 39 year old MtF TG but not "out" yet.  My SO is not likely to be supportive. Due to my love for her and that I do not want to lose her I have not summoned the courage to discuss this with her... 

I am Australian but live in Hong Kong. Yesterday I came out to a fellow TG and he has been amazingly supportive.  He encouraged me to join this group for the knowledge and support it can provide. 

I think my story would be similar to many.  I was aware of being different from around age 4 and didn't ever really fit in with the guys or the girls, but I much preferred the girls.

Currently my situation makes it very difficult to express myself, but I am determined to explore myself and my feelings more then I ever have before.

Anyway, that's about it.  I look forward to make new friends here and hopefully provide support to others as well.

Feel free to post your successes/failures, Hopes/dreams.  Ask questions and seek answers. Give and receive advice.

There's a lot of good information and good people here.  Each of our stories is unique but we have a lot in common.  There is much in you story that is similar to mine.  Settle in, pull up a keyboard, and explore.
