Greetings!

My name is Melanie. After years of denying, I finally started to accept that I always felt like a woman inside 2 years ago. Since then, things have gone very fast. I started HRT in May 2009 but had to stop due to some reaction to either spiro or estradiol. I'm investigating alternative treatments. I'm full time since December 2009 and things go pretty well. I file my petition for name change and should have my court order in April. On the down side, I lost my wife in the process and I miss my sons, who I don't see very often.

Susan's seems like a nice place to be. Thank you for letting me in.

I hope you can get the hormone treatment straightened out.  You're seeing a physician for it, right?  And I'm sorry for your losses.  Some of us manage to stay married, but for many it is just too hard on the spouse.
