Apparently when I actually TRY to look like a girl, I fail at it...

So basically because of my mom's weariness of me being in therapy, and her thinking that I don't put enough effort into my clothing, hinting that I should "dress like a girl again" and whatnot, I decided that I was going to buy and wear a dress for the first time in I don't know how long! I found some cheap dresses at kohls on sale, so I figured why not, it'll make mom happy and she'll witness how uncomfortable I am inside (ALL of my feelings tend to show in my face, whether I like it or not!) I picked out a few that I thought were nice and went to try them on to see which one looked best on. I called my friend into the dressing room to see the first one and she goes "Why are you wearing that, you look like a miniature drag queen or something!"

Thanks dear... thanks a lot... I don't know if I should take that as a compliment (that I didn't exactly look like a girl, woots!) or as an insult ('cause I was trying really hard to look like a girl!)

I ended up not buying anything... I wanted my mom to be like "OMGosh, my daughter looks like a girl for once!!" not "Why is my daughter dressed like a drag queen!" Sorry, mom! My days of wearing dresses and looking cute in them are long gone!

This sounds like a success story.

I've never looked too good dressed like Mr. Macho Guy, either. I think it comes from inside. The spirit shines through.
