I'm not going to joke about menopause to gg's again. I think I'm suffering from andropause and it is not very pleasent. Hot flushes, low energy, mood swings, uncontrollable periods of crying.

Has enyone suffered from andropause before hrt?

I'm pre hrt and my last bloods were showing low t (50% normal male). I'm only due for more blood tests in April and trying to hold out taking anything until then. One good point less expence toward anti-androgens when I start hrt.

So to all you gg's out there I'm Sorry. :-*

Well, I have been going thorugh andropause but only because of the antiandrogens I am taking.

I have had it relatively easy I think, I was a bit low on energy for a few weeks but seem to have bounced back. I have noticed hot flushes, sore boobs, on on occasion I wake up totally drenched in sweat. But that all seems to have balanced out now, except for the boobs.

Low hormone levels can often make you feel depressed too (probably why a lot of older men are so grumpy).

Yep suffering all those and I havent even started anti-androgens. I am finding my skin is getting softer naturally.

menopause happens due to lack of sex hormones.
No testosterone OR estrogen and you get menopause.
