So I am looking for a new bra.  I went and did my measurements, and according to what I have been reading, I am suppose to be a 44c?  There is no way I can fill out that cup.  I must have done something wrong.  My specs.

Chest below bust is 38
Fullest part of my bust is 42

What type of bra should I be wearing?  What is a trainer?  Should I even use one?  I figured a sports bra would be fine, but???  Need opinions.

I think you may have dropped a digit somewhere. I've used a sizing calculator that I have used for many years and it says that 42A is the correct size for those measurements.

As a comparison mine is 36in underbust and 48in around the fullest part - which makes me a 40G - although mostly I find that a 40FF or 40F is big enough - though it depends to some extent on the bra style and manufacturer too.

Know i'm on the other side but with those measurements i'm wearing a uk 40D if thats any help.

Which just goes to show what a black art this bra sizing business is. But for reference here is the sizing calculator I used.

I would tend to trust it because from my measurements it came up with the size that I have been comfortably wearing for about 23 years...

Not sure I want something that big.  I just want to look natural, and looking at the genetics on the womans side of my family, they all were not that big.  So I figure a good b cup will work with me, I dunno, each girl is different, and I will see where I get to.  I use to be a lot bigger, but after stopping hormones to come down here, in florida, I lost so much....     I will have to get back on my regime as soon as I can and see where I get to.  Since my orchy, way back when, I thought that I wouldn't lose the breast tissue, but without estrogen, it has no way of maintaining the secondary sex characteristics, so I guess I lost some.  Sighs......

If you have had an orchi YOU MUST maintain at least a basic level of some hormones (either T or E) at ALL times. They aren't optional because your body is no longer producing its own steroids... and without them serious early onset osteoporosis and/or a number of other serious conditions is a very real possibility.

Sorry for the medical lecture... but one of my doctor friends has drummed that into me in the past and I know of at least one girl who was having SERIOUS, and I do really mean serious, medical issues because she had ignored that advice in the past.

i have 38c but my C's don't look as big a GGC's so I went to 40B as the cup wire is same size but now they look to be squahsed..so I have to try 40c.

basically I think the problem is that male torsos are v while GG's are more parallel

I have had my orchi back when I was 26.  I am now 41.  Since then, I have had little or no hormones.  I was on E and P for a year and a half, then had to quit, cuz lack of money forced me to.  Same reason why I don't have T.  Just no money, and doctors don't work for free.

So, I have been going without for quite some time.  I know of the risks, and health problems, and have lost a lot of bone structure due to it.  Osteoporosis, is no joke, and I am beside myself.  I have a lot that I need to do, yet don't have the funds available to do it.  Welcome to america.

I'm so sorry to hear that. I guess that for all it's faults our NHS system in the UK does have a few plus points then. Generally I'm not a big fan of social medicine, but when I hear stries like yours it makes me realise that it is indeed an important safety net for many people.

..interesting .. I'm pretty much the same basic measurements here in the UK and I find 40-anything too big. 

Best fit for me is 38B or 38C depending on the design/manufacturer. My normal prefference is stretch microfibre underwired, becuse they tend to adapt better to a slightly larger ribcage and still make the most of my assets. 

I'm sorry to hear about your circumstances, and hope you can find a way to get some medication soon...

Wow, same measurements here at this date.  I currently wear a 40a.  I haven't tried a 42a because the few places I've ordered online didn't carry that size. I'm wondering now if a 42 will fit better, but 40 has been definitely better than nothing

Depending on the type of bra, I am either a 38a or a small 38b.   After 10 months on hormones, I don't think that is too bad but as with others, I am desperate for more growth sooner rather than later.   I would be happy with a full b cup but if I can get to a c cup I will be ecstatic.

I while ago I purchased some new bras in the same style but different band and cup sizes.  I was sick of the band digging in.  I was really surprised that when I went from a 38B to a 40B the actual volume of the B cup increased substantially.  Same style and manufacturer.  The band felt good on the 40, but the cups were depressingly "droopy".  Fortunately, woman's clothing designers come up with products to solve most problems.   My wife suggested, "bra extenders."  While I would have preferred "breast extenders" I bought some of the former online.  They are relatively cheap and effective.  They have hooks that match the bra, both sides, and add an inch or two to the band size. Our broader backs coupled with smaller volume demands creativity.  Of course I kept the 40B's, but only wear them with silicone breast enhancers when I want more decolletage. Worked for me, maybe for you.
