For those who present full-time, are in RLE/RLT's, or just go out fem often. What's the minimum that you will go through to walk out the door? I ask as I tend to go the whole nine yards as often as possible simply to get over the hump of passability for most of the world. I present pretty well but I apply the following every time that I'm going out for more than 1 hour:

Concealer/Foundation/Powder/Light Blush
Shadow/Eyeliner/Mascara (outter edges to make eyes look bigger)
Various pieces of jewelry (most of which I wear for sentimental reasons but still, it's in the routine)

I'm not glaming this up or some-such. Simply copying the style and amount used by my co-workers for reference. But, I'd like to not 'need' it per se. Right now, that's not the case.

I've heard that HRT will make some of the foundation layer's unnecessary (still have opaque skin at the moment) but otherwise, the makeup simply redefines the edges and whatnot so that my face looks more proportional. The avatar is what I look like 100% au natural but, really, I just see 'boy' when I look at some of my facial features.

Another interesting question might be how much of your routine is for you to pass to yourself in the face? I know that around half the motivation that I have currently is simply to look in a mirror and not freak.

(P.S. I've tried both searches and making my way slowly through the backlogs of posts but haven't found this topic. If it's a dupe, please forgive me.)

If I am going clubbing I go for the 'One Hot Mama' look.  I love making the boys drool.
Other wise at home it is the soccer Mom look.

I usually get dressed, that tends to avoid funny looks

although seriously, I usually go minus any makeup, I have a stick of foundation I use once in a blue moon. (concealer would probably be better, and if I would get off my lazy ass and buy some lip gloss...)

my therapist has commented about my lashes so I'll take that as a hint that only some highlight/shadow is needed. YMMV

my overall opinion is "less is more", cover up flaws, highlight other parts
Soft kitty, warm kitty, little ball of fur. Happy kitty, sleepy kitty, purr, purr, purr.

for quick errands to the drug store or grocery store or something similar my bare minimum is probably powder, a soft brown eyeliner for top lids only, light mascara on top lashes, and lip gloss. maybe some blush half the time.

for work/going out I wont leave unless my make up, hair and jewelry is all just right :)

*whew* I was starting to think that I'm the only one who has to (at least seemingly) look perfect for work!

I use a color power as foundation, mascara, pink lip liner and black eyebrow liner, for everyday use.
