If you have socially transitioned, and are living full time including at work, what did you earn before taxes 2009?

I am trying to determine the rate of "underemployment" in the TG/TS community. 2009 was a tough year economically in much of the world, including the U.S. This may have been particularly true of our community.

If you are living full time at work, and have socially transitioned, I invite you to participate in this poll. If you are stealth, of course you are also welcome to vote. If you are living according to your birth gender, and are only gender nonconformist at home, then please take a pass on this poll.

The earned income poll does not take passive investment income or payments from Uncle Fred at Christmas into account. It is also gross income before taxes, but after business expenses if you are self employed. Thanks!

I did not vote as I am just heading back to work now and am going to be grossly underemployed. Part of it is a personal choice, not wanting to work all the hours I did before,  and part is the economy. I think you just can't make nearly as much now as you could before the latest economic meltdown.
I will be making one third of what I made before.

I'm an excellent, proven sales person and senior level sales manager but that was in my previous career. I know that those sales positions are in premium right now but I love my career in health care so much I can't imagine changing just to make ends meet. It's hard but I love what I do, I love making a difference. I know I am worth more, but it'll come in time :) Meghan

Count me in as part of the unemployed.  I use to make of $26,000 plus.  But I was let go in September.  I am trying to get disability now, because of my back, so we shall see.
