anyone here read her books?

I love the Anita Blake novels.

If I want porn I would just rent a DVD. I found her series pretty shallow and formulaic. Now I have not read anything since Obsidian Butterfly but I have some friends trying to get me back into the series. Apparently it has changed for the better.

I loved her stuff until Obsidian Butterfly, then....eh....I've read much better porn marketed as such. I lost faith in her.

I actually read that she was going through some sort of personal crisis, and was even seeing someone about it, and that was why her writing got so...bizarre.

But, prior to Butterfly...I absolutely loved her. I fully intend to go back and reread her good stuff once I finish the stack of unread books on my shelf, hehe.
