3 weeks into my HRT now but I noticed in the shower today, That I have definite... err "buds".

Now don't get me wrong I'm perfectly happy to have them there... budding away hurting like crap I totally knew this would happen sooner or later this is abit sooner than I thought.

Dose such rapid development mean I'm likely to be huge?

It's just that... I kinda don't wanna be THAT huge. :/ I'd enjoy begin a modest size. I guess there's no way of slowing it down if I start getting uncomfortably large?

in terms of the females of my family my grandma was an E both my mum and sister are DD's in addition to that my body was always very sympathetic to T I went thick and fast into my male puberty and I was having to shave daily by age 15)

dosen't bode well dose it?

Well, I don't think it means anything in particular. I had some growth after a few weeks on spiro alone so I don't think it is that unusual.

Most trans girls don't naturally get much more than a natural B (from what I have read, though there are exceptions). Some say you potentially will end up about 1 size below your nearest relatives, but I'm not sure that is true. Perhaps if you had them as long as they have they might get that big, especailly if you keep gaining weight as a lot of woman do these days. But we are starting rather late in the piece. On the plus we are likely to be perkier compared with other women our age.

Unfortunately you can't do much about it. Except if they get so large they are dibilitating you could always opt for a reduction.

Watching your weight will help some. Otherwise I think you will need to learn to love what you get. Part of being a woman I'm afraid, just part of our lot. I really don't think you will find them a chore, they will be a symbol of your femininity. Chances are they will feel good to hold in the dark.

Hope you enjoy your new body! Welcome to puberty.

My mother and aunts on both of my parents sides are all C or larger with most of them being DD. I've been on HRT for 20 months now and I'm at a full B. I don't expect to get much larger then that but I suppose it's possible. Even after almost two years mine still hurt. Although more then getting bigger they appear to be getting fuller and more round where before they were more cone shaped.

I too had some tenderness after about 3 weeks with some swelling so I don't think it's all that unusual for those of us with well endowed family members.

Welcome to puberty! It's a literal pain but so worth it.

I hope I can get even within 2 cups sizes of the women in my family. The smallest gal in my family has DD cups most have DDD and even a couple H cups in the family.

Hi, like as been said before its all down to genetics even in male to female. BTW I didn't really get breast buds until about 9 months on HRT but am about a b cup now after 22 months of HRT. I have read it can be anything between 2 years and 5 years to fully develop and of course some don't develop at all and have to have a BA.

Don't get to worried though as things tend to even out and there are some that experience breast growth in starts and stops and there are those like me that experience a continual slow growth. Of course that is not indicative of breast growth in general as each person is an individual and as such all of us have to wait and see. A long process I know but something every woman goes through.

Cami, Stardust and I are all at about the same length of time on HRT, and about the same Bra size.  However Stardust have cleavage.  Grrrrrrrrrr.

I also forgot to mention size of frame as well as this will determine the amount of cleavage. For obvious reasons a larger frame with the same size breasts will be further apart and hence less/no cleavage. I happen to have a smallish frame which helps.

I'm also at 22 months. All but one of the many women in my family are B, the other is a small C. I'm like a large A at this point...can't help but wonder if anymore is coming :( But I kind of think the one cup size smaller thing is not really true, hopefully I'm not just being optimistic but I've heard of many getting to the same size as their sibs/mother. Mine never hurt except a little throbbing in the first 2 months, but even today a light direct hit is AAHH!! ouch, *cries*. Youth doesn't seem as much a factor either, unless you're in your teens. Many of the mature ladies seem to be getting good results, albeit probably slower to get there.

I hope the 'one cup size smaller' rule of thumb isn't true, my Mum was an 'A' cup.

When I was younger (I'm 25 now) I always used to look down on people who had plastic surgery, now I would not hesitate having it myself. It's funny how our views can change on things like this.

I also hope that I dont go all the way to within a cup, the women in my family average a DD!!! :-\ Some with triple D. That would be way too much. lol
