A little of my story..I am 52 and been dressing since I was 8. In my 3rd marriage( a wonderful wife),
2 children and 2 step kids. I have always looked at myself as weird til just recently. I am finally telling me I am fine and not alone. My wife is really good with me dressing as long as I dont forget
her husband. We go out together to movies, mall or just around the house. My problem now is....I now feel I want to transition. I am currently about to get disability benefits due to some health issues, and that enables me to dress everyday and I love it. I go out practically everyday riding around or shopping and to be looked at as female and addressed often as maam, is wonderful.
(which leads me to a quick ?) Dont I need some type of transgendered ID card)? How can I get one and how quick??? Anyway I am checking into now having laser work done to my facial hair and would love to have FFS. Is all this typical for me now. My closet now has more female clothes than male. And again I love that. Although I am pretty tall and my wife is kinda short, we still share some clothes because I am small built. You know I have soo much more to say. I feel kinda like  Kimberly Reed that was on  Oprah. I was a high school baseball player and was scouted professionally. I could go on but I would love to hear from someon or 2 or more :) Thanks for listening, hugs, Christy

No such thing as transgendered ID card.   Just attempt to change gender on your DL or such.

I suggest talking to your wife about transition and finding a therapist to work out the details and make getting there easier.

I'm not sure what you mean about the TG ID card. I know around my area, a lot of TG's have a second ID card; not a driver's license, but a state identification card. It has their boy name, gender, info, but a picture of them dressed as a girl. I guess you can just go into the DMV, have your picture taken, and get one made.

Hi Christy, :icon_wave:

Welcome to our little family. Over 4200 strong. That would be one heck of a family reunion.

Feel free to post your successes/failures, Hopes/dreams.  Ask questions and seek answers. Give and receive advice.

But remember we are family here, your family now. And it is always nice to have another sister. :icon_hug:

And be sure to check out these links ( MUST READS )

To my knowledge there is no Transgender card.  But you can ask your gender therapist for a carry letter.  Depending on where you are you might be able to get your ID changed to Female.

Hugs and Love,
Janet
