Today I had my once every 3 month checkup with my doctor and this time I had an HRT letter. If anyone remembers I had put him in a postion and he gave me HRT without a letter just to keep me safe.
Anyways...I told him I wasn't ok on being on just a sanity level dose and I wanted a proper dose. Which at the end of the conversation is more than double my current dose.
So the question is...should I step it up over a few days or should I just go with the prescribed dose as writen? My main concern is that I could go all bitchy with a suden rise in E levels.

If you only know yourself, but not your opponent, you may win or may lose.
If you know neither yourself nor your enemy, you will always endanger yourself.

If he is doing the blood work, I would follow his instructions.  If you have a problem. let him know at once.

My doctor doubled my Spiro and Estrogen dosage, until my Orchie.  At which time the Spiro was dropped and the Estrogen was lowered.

Go with the doc's script. Anyway the body will only absorb what estrogen it can handle and it gets rid of the rest mostly through your pee. So the more you take doesn't mean quicker results or the more e in your body. The body as a natural way of dealing with hormones and balances and regulates its self, cool stuff, hay.

No reason to risk taking more because it isn't going to do any good.

Yes, go with the scrip.  Many of the hormones we add through HRT are processed in the liver.  Taking too much can damage it.  You want to be a healthy woman, not a dying wannabe.

(I've seen closeup death through liver failure.  It is not pretty. >:()

I never said I wanted to go over his dose. I was only worried that a suden massive rise might cause me to be mildly psycho.

Sorry Cynthialee, I didn't read your last bit properly, that's what comes from coming in from work and looking at this site. If your endo prescribed the dose then take the dose as prescribed. Mine was doubled after the first month.

Oops.  I'm sorry, too. :icon_bunch:

I don't think you will notice any emotional change other than happiness at the idea of getting the right dose.

No problem ladies.
I could have writen that alot better.
He wants me to double my dose. I was somewhat worried that would cause emotional trouble with such a sudden rise in E. However I have been in great spirits all day so that fear seems unfounded.
