Hi All,

The following is what I wrote in ym blog about the night.

----------------------------------------------------------
Well this weekend has been just wonderfull. I had the Ball on Saturday night and on Sunday I BBQ at my place. Both wonderfull for total different reasons.

Saturday afternoon came quicky after lots of cleaning in the morning. It was time to get ready for the ball. I had arrange to go over to Maddie's place to get ready for the ball. I was very nervious driving in and I got trapped in the stair well because I got off at the worng floor. Eventually I got up to her flat with my stuff and we started to get ready for the ball. We have plenty of time to get ready it was nice and relaxing.  I put on my makeup dress etc for the ball and had some help with the final touches of makeup. It was nice to get some help and to be all made up. Tiffany arrive and after a quick photo is was time to head to the ball.

The drive to the ball was very short and after we got out of the car and walked in I thought well him I am. At first I was a bit dissapointed  - the invite said everyone get frocked up for the ball. Being the Aids counsell I took that litery and thought all the guy would be in a dress. Unfortunaly it was only the TGs in dresses including me . I was stuck and had to be a lady for the night. I took a good look arrounf and noticed a lot of nice dresses that I amd usualy envious of but I relise Yay I am also in a dress. I was good to have tiffany and Maddie there who I knew and help my throught my first public outing. I grab a wine and started to chat/mingle with everone arround including Linda who I knew and is halfway throught transistion. We eventualy went in to be seated for dinner At my table there was a guy I knew from cycling but if he recognised me he did not say.

Dinner was fine and I chatted to Maddie and Tiffany about the usual our lives. After the main course, bit more wine and a small dance it was time to face a big test - Laddies or Gents. Well I went to the laddies and it was not to bad. I quickly did what I had to do and noone commented while I was in there. It was strange having to do that.  After a bit more talking it was time for a big dance and gee did I enjoy that. We where on the dance floor for some time and I enjoyed when a girl (GG) came and danced close to me. She had a nice blue/green dress in that I realy liked. I had those feelings that it would be nice to be a GG so I could wear them and feel feminine all the time.  I was jumping so hard that I thought my wig was going to fall of a few times.

After a dancing Maddy and myself went out - him for a cigaret and me to cool of. We met a gay couple and they where so funny to talk to bacuase of their age difference.  After chatting to them for a while we went back in side to say our good byes. There where three of us going out to a night club . Hmm - that was a great experince - me out in the centre of town. We went in and daced a bit had a few drinks and then dance some more until my feet where to saw from my heals to dance.  I went to the ladies at the club but there was a queue so I left - guess I was not that desparate. After a bit more time we left for home. I went back to Maddies place to change for my drive home.

Overall the night was great. I knew I have a great time as on Sunday morning I was laughing at the night and extremly happy - a good sign that I had a good time and will need to do that again.

I can really relate to that.  The same thing happened to me on Saturday night and I was wearing a dress.  I noted how I didn't feel a bit of dysphoria about it, whereas it would have been crippling less than a year ago.  I even mentioned that to the others at the fest.

To be honest, it's not really feeling feminine, but more "free" because you get you be who you are and I can assure you it is a wonderful feeling. :)

I remember when I had to go to the bathroom and there was a queue for the first time.  I was scared as well and ended up coming back later.  The queue was short, but I resolved to use the restroom anyway and had no problems.  Now I have no problems about standing the queues even though I'm probably taller than about 90% of women.  Anyway, it's one of those things where once you start doing it, it doesn't seem so scary.

I really am glad you had so much fun.  You really should get out and start doing stuff in a dress (or skirt) more often.  Now you just need to tell us about the BBQ. ;)

Thanks for sharing the story of your night out. I am jealous.

There is an old song from the early 1900's-- "Alice Blue Gown".  Your new picture made me think of the song. :)

It sounds like great fun.  You looked great.  I really enjoy going out after our Renaissance meetings.  There's just something particularly enjoyable about dancing enfemme.  I think it's a combination of being myself, the feel and movement of women's clothes, and the fact that I just feel more comfortable dancing as a woman.  I can dance with other girls or just by myself if no one's interested--something I can't see myself doing as a male.
