HRT picture a day project (timelapse videos over years, like those on youtube)

There are these videos on youtube where someone takes a picture of themselves every day, with the camera and their face in the same position, and then they make it into a video so that you can see them age.  Pretty cool!  So I thought it would be even cooler to do one once I started testosterone and basically watch someone go through puberty.

Well, that lasted about a month, then it became a picture once every two or three days, then once a week, and then it stopped.   :embarrassed:  Now it has been two months, and it's kind of pointless to pick it back up now since there have been too many changes.  Guess I won't be able to finish this project after all!

The point is, though, that I still think it would be really cool, and I wanted to put the idea out there for anyone who might be starting HRT in the future who would be interested in documenting it in a fun new way.  I really hope someone does it and keeps up with it, and if you do send me the video in a few years!

I've seen those. It would be really interesting to see one showing the progress of HRT. Good idea! I hope someone does this.

Missing a few weeks isn't so bad, just keep at it anyway even just for yourself!!! I have a lot of pics but they're mostly from different angles etc so it wouldn't have the same effect.
But still.. I may consider doing something with my pics... even just for myself. Keep at it!!!!!!! :D

I have been seriously considering it for my own curiosity, but I'm not going to make it public. I like my privacy.

I'll probably do it for a week and then get distracted with something else anyway.

I did a video like that but it was more of a progression over 4 - 5 years. I strongly encourage you to do it. Many people in our community don't take pictures but you have to be committed to saving that part of your history or it won't happen. It's kind of a picture memorial of your old self. Here's mine:

Wow YES! that!!! I can't believe your transformation!!! That is huge! To begin with I was like "no way...nooooo way", "oh my god!", "wow ok", "oooohhh wwwooowwww!!!!". lol! But yeah something like that is what I want to try and do, I think I've started well :D
awesome ;)

Wow, that video is crazy.  The old you was kind of cute, but so is the real you!  I kind of want to do that now myself, but I'm so terribly not photogenic...

Meghan gets the "your example gives me hope" vote for the week!   :)

Wow. . . that is a change.

I'll probably not make a timelapse video of my changes, but I intend to keep photographic records of all of my changes.

What an amazing transformation Meghan! It looks like you went through quite a long mission! I think the surgery did wonders, you must be really happy with the results, cause I think you are a beautiful woman. The slides in the middle when you were in tears really got to me, just showed how hard a journey it has been.

I would love to do one with breast growth, I think I will try it. I have not seen the like. I'm no prude, plus I would love to see the growth in action.  It would be facinating rather than titilating ;)

Meghan, if I haven't said it before, that video rocks and is pretty moving.  I like how you show both the smiles and the tears.

Quicksand--yeah, I was thinking that taking a pic of my face each day and putting them all together in a video would be cool... however, I knew that me hauling out my camera and adjusting lighting every day just wasn't gonna happen.  Lazy me, I guess.  I did take full-body documentation every month for the first 9 months, and since the changes seemed to be slowing down, I let the next update slide 'til 12 months.  I might start doing the documentation again once I'm able to work out.  But I'm glad I at least did it for the first year.  It doesn't seem like much change when you're in a body and it's changing so gradually, but the pictures show a definite difference.  Slight, but tangible.  It's kinda cool.  To anybody just starting out and not interested in doing daily photos, I'd highly recommend monthly documentation.

I am planning to do measurements of various bits of my body. We'll say whether I'll last. :)

Thank you Meghan.  I was beginning to go into a bad spiral and I now have a better out look.  Will I ever be as pretty as you have become.  I don't know, but at least I think I like me more each day.

And that is what counts.
:'(

Hugs,
Janet

I just saw the nice comments you all left about my video and I really appreciate it. I have to tell you, my journey is no different than any of yours, you know? I just took a picture every day or two just so I was tracking my ever-changing life. Try it, not just pictures, but keep a blog, tell your story so others who come after you will have a strong foundation of brothers and sisters to look to. You never, ever know when your strength on the right day or you telling your story might come in handy to someone else. I keep that video up because I hope that people know we all start somewhere with transition. I started coming to Susan's right around :41 in that video. I remember looking at pictures of so many avatars and reading stories in Susan's thinking "oh, wow, if only I have a successful transition and be comfortable with myself, I'll be in a good place."

I feel like I'm pretty much there and I still have a little way to go. Thank you for the continued support from all of you :) It really means a lot to me, Meghan

I just got my new camera today... so maybe I'll post a video like Meghan's in 2-3 years or so!  My hair is already kind of long though and there's no way I'm cutting it so :P.

But I will finally get to post some current photos, probably tomorrow (and by tomorrow I mean later today after I sleep :)).

Meghan,

The video was amasing, thanks for sharing that with all of us. One day I hope to be half as pretty as you are.  ;)

Thanks Again,
Sally
