Ke$ha has revealed that she appreciates the transgender community.

The popstar has admitted that she does not have the best manners and has insisted that men who dedicate their lives to being women inspire her to act more lady-like.

Speaking to The Advocate, the 23-year-old said: "I am a huge fan of the transgender community. I am so not a proper, good female. I can't dance in high heels and I'm just so not girly, but then I see these men with these banging bodies, dancing in heels, singing, and having so much fun with so much make-up on.

On its surface it sems nice. But when I read her exact words I see a young woman who has bought into the gender steriotypes so many have.
We are really men in dresses.
All transwomen are fabulous.
and that this is in some way a lifestyle choice, when so many of us insist that we have no choice.
So it is said that if you know your enemies and know yourself, you can win a hundred battles without a single loss.
If you only know yourself, but not your opponent, you may win or may lose.
If you know neither yourself nor your enemy, you will always endanger yourself.

I think she means well. It will take a very long time for people to actually get transgender folks.

" but then I see these men"

I would have to say she has less tact than a lady.
And (not surprisingly) mediocre talent for a "Black" entertainer.

I lay no blame at the feet of a 20something woman. I do however have issue with the 10,000 year old patriarchy.

On Google Images, she's a blonde white, not black.
I have no concrete idea of my gender identity, but I believe I am an Androgyne.

I must admit that I'm a tad confused. She's SO not girly, but then she sees men in dresses and is suddenly inspired to become more stereotypically girly because, you know, she HAS to be girlier to be "a better woman"?

By all means become more stereotypically feminine, but don't blame it on the drag queens.

"she's white"

Actually my point was in "quotes" to show how disparing using the wrong label can be.

I got that and thought it was very funny, actually. In a graveyard-y sort of way.
