So...I'm a 20 year old MtF and I've been on hormones now for about 8 months but I'm about to hit the end of my money and have yet to find a job, so no cash influx to be expected for at least a few more weeks.

My question is: how much of an effect will being off hormones for several weeks (hopefully only a week or 2, but maybe more) have on my body and my mood?  Will I see any regression? Or should I have enough build up in my system to get me through a few weeks?

Thanks for any help/shared experiences :)

I was off them for 20 plus years, long story.  But when I went back on them, everything started up where it left off.  Was it safe, I don't know.  But I don't recall any ill effects.  If you are off for a couple of weeks I don't see any problems, but it is best to ask your doctor.

It won't have that much of an affect. Girls go off there Hormones for a month before srs without any problems. The only thing about being off Estrogen is it affects your mood. you'll be a raging witch with a CAPITOL B and moody for awhile.

Uh Oh, that should be interesting.   Oh, and I wish I could go to my doc, but the end of my money includes no doctor visits either :( .  Thanks for the replies :)

A friend of mine was in a similar situation about a year ago. What she did was slowly lower her dose to stretch out her supply. It worked out okay as far as I could tell.

Hi Rae09,

I think the most problem of transgender person is "money", if we don't have enough money, we could not get HRT, SRS, FFS, etc.
So, the best way is looking for job, get some money and never stop what have you effort.

Do not think to much, just take any changes to collect some money even that job isn't good or comfortable for you, as long as that's job is legal.

Good luck Rae09 :D
