Well, the hints aren't for her to actually pick up on. I'm testing to see if she would be okay with it without really telling her. So far it looks good, I just need to fingure out when (and where) to tell her.
Doing calculations, I'd make $35,360 in 2 years if I worked 40 hours every week of both years. Unfortunately, we have to then deduct bills and such. Assuming that I get that house and rent out the rooms, the 25k in two years becomes more realistic. Of course, this is all just assuming. Chances are I won't be staying at $8.50 an hour, and there is the possibility of assistance from parents, possiblity of money for my birthday/Christmas, people may not meet their rent/ may not move in and rent a room, etc. Too many variables to really know if I'll get 25k in two years.
Now that I'm going to attend college in the fall, it's going to be 8k a year and I'm attending for I think it was 2 or 4 years. That makes saving up really tough.
Edit: 3/24- I've been thinking about my parents' reactions and stuff when I come out to them, and how they would react to me being in girl's clothing. I didn't really think about this when I was out buying clothes, but apparently I had accidentally bought a girl's shirt from Hot Topic. It was a Mario 3 shirt, so I didn't notice it was a v-neck right away, but as I wore it throughout the day at home neither of my parents noticed it was a girl's shirt. I'm thinking that maybe I should keep wearing this every so often so they're a little used to the v-neck style, and then get more v-necks gradually and work my way up. Then maybe something with the pants, but I'm not sure how to pull that off easily. Either way, I think it's a good way to help them ease into it.
