I have always been a person of many hobbyhorses, when I was younger it was birds, I was obsessed with birds, then hand puppets until I was 17 - I've always been in plays and written stories also.

Legos here too. And remembering how much my dad hated me when I forget to get that stray lego off the floor before he stepped on it.  ;D

Someone brought up drawing. Same here, I still do it, but it's lost a bit of it's magic atm.

Would draw myself as a heroic guy all the time. And I'd make up all these stories in my head and draw some of it out.

I still do this all the time... Draw myself as these characters in stories I make up. I am almost always a guy, and if not, a girl who dresses/acts as a guy, in these. Considering that drawing is probably the one thing I express myself most openly in, I'd say this says quite a lot.

Home-made weapons, knives, and armor.
Dungeons and dragons (still my main obsession), I guess the first is related to the second.
Barbarians, as in conan the barbarian.
building forts and rafts.
skateboarding.

Teddy bears and other soft toys (I had a softer side  ;))

I was always obsessed with mermaids as a child. I've heard that alot of transgender women are obsessed with mermaids as children.

Oh I still do it too as well. It's good fun.

Have You Americans made Tie Fighters for real or was I hallucinating or something?
Because Im sure its only a movie in this part of the Galaxy!

Well, IIRC TIE means 'twin ion engine' and NASA has made several things with ion engines now, so maybe.....

I was a bit Star Wars obsessed when I was young too, though once the new movies came out it ruined it for me. Aside from that I was obsessed with anything dark or anything cute, which seems strange but, pink kittens are skulls were held in equal esteem.
15 years on Susans, where has all the time gone?

I had this little handheld tape recorder and would steal my sibling's tapes so I could record on them. I'd do things like my own versions of "On top of old smokey" or tried to be a comedian. I'm still obsessed with recording things :P

Have You Americans made Tie Fighters for real

Well they did at ILM, they didn't really fly on ion engines, but they were full scale.

Mine was to create barbiedoll clothing out of toilet tissue using markets and water!

lol What? Afraid to shop in Walmart's girl kids aisle? Recent experience of a girlfriend of mine ->

Obsession? Playing Barbie dressup with 'lil sister and girl next door (rather than G.I. Joe)?

I had a few phases. My hobby horse was the first I can remember...I had it until I completely outgrew it. around 11 I guess. (I was a big kid). I also had Barbies. I gave them up at about 14 yrs, to my 5 yr old sister. I thought it was the mature thing to do. lol otherwise I'd still have them. Then it was my music, writing and the everexpanding record collection, most of which I still have.
