Hello Satin,
Welcome. Like you, I found Susan's and "lurked" about for a while before participating, although not really for very long. Such wonderful ladies and gentlemen here, and so much information you just have to be as much a part as you can. I travel a lot in my job and am not around for odd-ball and unpredictable periods of time. I need a portable computer but haven't ever gotten one, and in truth the job just doesn't provide the time to justify getting one, so I just play partial catch-up when home.
It is so great that your wife is accepting and helpful, since sharing this with her. It makes all the difference in the relationship. I married at 37, and was determined to be open about my gender identity from the beginning, so we did not have to work it out later. Of course in the following 23 years it hasn't always been easy, and lately, the increased feeling of cross-gender as opposed to cross-dressing has brought forth both greater communication and closeness, and greater pain. You are on the right course - keep the communication going.
Again, welcome to Susan's. And, as I usually tell new folks when I respond to them, mostly to avoid confusion (mine probably,) I'm Susan, but not the Susan.
Susan Kay
