I started T 9 months ago and haven't had a period since.  However, over the past 4 or 5 months I've been getting what feels like menstrual cramps and other menstrual symptoms about the time that I would have typically had my period.  It has also been getting worse as each month passes.  Anyone else experience this?  I thought that maybe my T levels were low but the tests came back just a tiny bit high (My doc said it was probably because my previous injection was somewhat close to the date of the blood work)

Yep.  I've had exactly the same experience.  Cramps, but no period, and T levels a touch high.  Could be the result of T turning to E, but I really don't know.

hm that's interesting.  Maybe I should get my dosage lowered slightly.

some friends suggested getting a pap smear but I'd like to avoid that at all costs lol

I'm not sure, but I heard that having too much T in your system can have reversed effects.. Maybe you should talk to your doc about lowering your dosage a bit?
Just a thought though.
I'm 2 months on T and still have cramps and a period  :-\ But it's not nearly as bad as it used to be  ;D
Good luck!

Ive been on T 11 weeks now and I dont have a period. I get cramps the day before my next injection thats about it. You should probably get another blood test. Its probably not healthy.

I have been on T for 3 and a half months and only got a period the week after I started T and then not after that. I do get cramps once in awhile but attributed it to everything starting to shut down? But my T levels came back really high so maybe it is converting to estrogen and just not causing a period? My dose is being lowered so maybe that will help.

Alex and Jamie -

Yep, the EXACT same thing is happening to me.  I've been on T almost 2 years.  Since Jan., I've had all the symptoms of a period (occurring every 28 days) but no period.  T tested very high -- but LH, FSH and estrogen tested very low.

Carson & Ben,
I've been trying to send you guys private messages but I can't find the create message function that the Help sections mentions.  Can you send one to me? I need to ask you both a question

I just got the results back from another blood test.  Turns out my liver function and hemoglobin levels were both elevated.  My doctor lowered my dose

I just started on my lower dose yesterday so we will see if the cramps go away or worse if the period comes back.
