Hi, all!
I'm new to the forum and just wanted to give a brief introductory post

I am FTM (pre-op and pre-T), 30 years old and hailing from the USA. I have known for the whole of my recalled existence that I am male in every way, except for the body. I have been called names, mostly 'lesbian' or 'butch', by people in my hometown who didn't understand what transsexual means. I live mostly in the closet at home due to the community in which I live (North Louisiana...very small religious community) and to avoid confusion for my family, especially my grandmother who has dementia and has a difficult enough time recalling who I am. This is all about to change, however, as I have met the love of my life and am in the process of immigrating to Australia to be with her. In her social circles and in AU, I can be myself freely - and have been blessed to have her love and support and the support of her family, friends and community. I will be 'coming out' to my own family at some point in the near future, and we're hoping to get immigration sorted out as quickly as possible so that I can go ahead and transition and we can start our life together.
Good to be a part of this community and I'm looking forward to making some new friends and learning more about you all.
