Its about that time in Cali where the warmer days get closer &closer together. Last week there was a day so hot I was about to go in my friends pool, but then I remembered... I haven't been in a pool in a very long while &I would wear a bathing suit, trunks, &a tank. So I said wait if I do that means girl &parts showing so nevermind.
What do you wear to get wet, at the beach or in a pool or a water park?
I heard that you shouldn't wear ur binder in the water.
And what about packing, I heard the water could damage that too.
Man, I can't wait to get top surgery &not have to worry about this.

This is what I'm planning for this summer.  I haven't done this yet, so no idea if it'll work.

I'm going to try to stay away from pools because of the chemicals and lean more toward natural bodies of water (chemicals exist but not as concentrated).  I have an old binder that I plan to wear underneath either an old t-shirt or a rash guard (preferred method).  That way a good binder doesn't get ruined, but my chest is still flattened.

For the packer situation, I'll be buying a new one soon as my old one is getting kinda worn out.  I'll keep the old one and wear a jock strap underneath some board shorts/swim trunks and put the packer into the cup pocket (that way it won't randomly come out).  If I have time, I plan on putting some velcro inside the pocket so that the packer will definitely not slip out.

TL;DR:  I'll be using an old binder/old packer and making sure everything is secure down there before I jump in the water.

Sounds like a good plan.. IF I could get a new binder &a new packer.. Is a rash guard the type of shirt some surfers wear?

Yep.  It's made out of a synthetic material (like spandex) so it's usually okay to be worn in a pool whereas a t-shirt (made of cotton or the like) wouldn't be allowed.

And on a beach or lake, it won't look out of place.

I did not have my top surgery until the end of last summer. What I did was basically what was suggested above. I wore a binder under a tshirt or rash guard shirt. Then I wore men's beach shorts and did not pack. This summer I will wear a rash guard shirt, first Summer after surgery you are not suppose to have much sun exposure on the scars. Then I will my Lola Jake for packing and men's swim trunks.

Looking forward to not sweating my a** off this summer wearing a binder.

I don't think I will pack, I haven't ben packing since I 'broke' my stp. But ill try the binding under a rash guard, should I wear a tank underneath it all? I usually do. And do u wear anything under the trunks? Im the type of guy that sweats for any little thing, so with this being my first summer binding im starting to worry about what to wear or how to go about things. Cuz id usually just wear a sports bra with a wife beater. And I only have one men's tank right now.

My binder was always too tight to wear anything under it, super tight. I also sweat so bad I can't imagine having yet another layer on. I would not wear anything under my trunks besides mens underwear. If you sweat you will really sweat in a binder. On normal days I would wear a binder t shirt and them a button up or polo or whatever as my top shirt, I would have to change the t shirt a couple times a day due to sweat. Had to wear something over the binder because of the neck line.

What I do is men's trunks, binder (white), rash guard. I don't wear anything under my trunks and don't pack. For the binder I wear my long underworks one. I do not suggest binding if you'll be in salt water/ocean. The sand gets in there and is a pain in the ass to get out.

no packing... not due to damage to the packer, but more due to fear of it falling out.

I don't need to bind, soooo I'd probably just wear a t-shirt to cover up the scars this summer and hopefully soonish my scars will be faded [or I'll be hairy but ew] enough to just go shirtless.

I did bind to go swimming though previous to surgery.

swim trunks and packer(obviously) and a binder and either a t shirt and a rashguard type shirt.
