World athletics champion Caster Semenya said she planned to resume her international career on June 24 at an international athletics meeting in Spain.

The 19-year-old middle-distance runner made the announcement at a function in Pretoria to establish an athletics academy for disadvantaged runners. She said: "I am not a quitter, I don't start something and not finish it."
