Haven't heard much from our girl Valeriedances--I hope she is doing well.  I'm guessing that she leaves the residence tomorrow.  In the off chance you are reading this Valerie, we hope you are healing well, and remember, our thoughts and well wishes are with you :)

She was here around 10pm last night

I would imagine she is healing up and getting ready to go home

It would be nice to hear from her though  :icon_chick:

Glad to hear you're doing better Valerie. I can't imagine going through a BA at the same time as SRS. You're brave. You're past the worst part now, everything is down hill from here.

Take it easy the next couple of days before your flight as it may be pretty rough.

...and a complication, unfortunately for me, lack of sleep for the first two days. I was at a point of exhaustion and didn't recover until yesterday.

That's it!  That's you're complication!  A lack of sleep! ;)  You guys are making this sound too easy! :)

I highly recommend you make every effort to guard your rest those first days. One thing I did not expect was a roommate who made it impossible for me to rest for any length of time ...from horrific sustained snoring beyond imagination to requesting food at 4am waking me with her eating and inconsiderate sounds. It was very much hell, I could go on about it but it's done and past. Rest is so critical those first days and it set my recovery back alot.

Hun, I would've lost it!  I used to sleeping with earplugs.  I wonder if they would allow me to use them there? I need dead silence to sleep.

I had the stent removed on Monday which was such a great relief, and the catheter on Tuesday. So each day brought big gifts.

And I was finally able to sleep once back at the residence in a private room.

Began dilation 3 days ago, am in awe of everything actually. Even through the swelling, bruises, stitches and other surgery effects, the result is beautiful to me ...as I see how it may be, through all that, once it is healed.

Pain is at a discomfort level with only taking Tylenol now. There is certainly at times more pain, but is manageable.

My smile was shaken for a while from the lack of rest, but it's back now and getting stronger each day.

I will share more once I am home and am comfortable. Thanks for thinking of me.

Still walking funny,

Valerie

So glad to hear everything is well with you Val, thank you for updating us! :)
