Bolivian president backtracks after saying chicken makes men gay

The president of Bolivia has said that his remarks about eating chicken turning men gay were "misconstrued".

Evo Morales caused shock last week when he told a conference on climate change: "The chicken we eat is loaded with female hormones. So, when men eat it, they tend to deviate from their manhood."

When gay groups accused him of being bigoted and said the comments were absurd, he sent a letter to the Spanish group Federation of Lesbians, Gays, Transsexuals and Bisexuals to say he respected their sexual freedom.

If this were true, I'd be queerer than a three dollar bill with all the cocks chicken I eat.

I don't see how he even suggested that it had anything to do with being gay.

Dang!!! What am I gonna do with all these chickens now?

My guess is that it's implied. There are those who see homosexuality in men as a "deviation from manhood." As if being gay was unmanly.

Are 3 dollar bills queer? Did they eat enough chicken?  Only the vet knows for sure.



You hear a lot about how what our animal friends eat affects humans who eat them. Maybe he was just assuming as many others actually do have an effect.

Sounds like someone has been chewing too many coca leaves.

Fact is, lots of chicken is loaded with artificial growth hormones, and I for one never bought the idea that eating all those chemicals on a daily basis has no effect.
