I was born biologically a female but I'm here because no one else seems to understand, I hope that is OK. I developed a hormonal disorder around a year ago and I've been growing hair everywhere, places I never had it before and I can't talk about it with my friends because they can be very hurtful, no one in real life knows. I also asked online somewhere else and I got mocked and people were like "ewww thats nasty". Even though I'm not a transsexual I feel like I have something in common with you guys because I didn't choose to have this on my body, I am not trying to be rude or insensitive or anything. I just wanted to get that out of the way

Anyway, I know about the laser stuff and electrolysis but how much is it at a good place? If you're still growing new hairs, will it prevent them from growing? And where are the good places? I looked online for my area but they only offer lasers and have the pricing for places like ur upper lip, chin, legs and privates. I want to feel like a girl again I'm not sure if I'll ever be able to afford it

electro costs me $65 an hour or $105 for 2 hours (in USD) in minneapolis
UK price for full body laser is about £500 (ouch) a pop, less depending on the body area.

going for laser reduction for body hair would be much more cost effective then electro even if it costs more per session.

as far as places to go to, I'm at a loss, as checking google maps didn't help much, sorry

since you'll probably having lighter colored hair you should probably go with electro.  But laser can work if you have the right definition of skin tone and hair color. 

As for prices, I pay $60 an hour for electro right now and it is a sloowww process even when you don't have a lot of hair

Easily put a long time and a lot of money.  I have been at it for a year just on my face, neck and recently started on my 'happy trail'. 

For my face and neck I did 6 laser sessions at $150CAD each, and I have lost count of the electrolysis, but am around 30 hours at $40CAD /hour.  I have tried starting directly with electro on the 'happy trail' and it feels very slow, I have around 8 hours there alone and its still a battle.

In my mind, the choice between laser and electro is the density and darkness of the hair.  When there are a lot of dark hairs than laser is better, once the density is down and/or the hairs are light in color, it's time to switch to electro.  This has just become a weekly occurrence for me, and sometimes if feels like it will never end. 

I found both my laser and electro techs based on referrals from other trans girls.  Try finding some local trans support groups and ask, they probably know the best place in town.
