I know that wasn't your intent, but that's still how I feel - and I have no control over that feeling.

Doesn't matter how old you were you always wish you'd gone sooner no successful trans person would wish they'd suffered meaninglessly for longer. So your not alone and none of us can escape it regardless of our age.

I'm only 23 now but I envy those who are 20 you could see me swimming around here looking for info on howto get therapy but I didn't I literally walked upto the door which could have started it and ran away. missed opportunities make you feel regret and we all feel them.

I started my transition just after my 16 birthday, I was more or less FT by the time I was 19, but didn't have srs till I was 28.

Thats my only regret, I didn't start sooner, yes Im mad jealous at kids as young as 7 or 8, and my parents would have supported me, but I wasn't to know at the time, it was a fear of coming out, I lost out on being a little girl growing up, instead I had to suffer being a boy which I wasn't growing up till I got to my mid teens, thats life.

I'm already seeing a person about getting on T! I feel pretty ->-bleeped-<- good when i think that even though I'm not "found out" like one of the supremely lucky kids at 7-9 years, i still have a chance to get a head start on the effects of puberty.

Realized I was trans at 18.  Started T, changed my name, and got top surgery at 19.  This was last year

I realised I was trans at 17 got a referral to a GIC, now i'm 18 and will soon be having my first appointment.

I selected before 24.

I started when I was 21, and had SRS when I was 23 in 2010.

i really wish i could transition asap, everyday is just horrible torture for me. but i dont think that can really happen for me in my situation.

Wheels have been set in motion and transition is the only way forward.
Just a thought, the phrase "I transitioned when I was blabla at year yadayada" doesn't make much sense IMHO. It's a process.

I knew ages ago but never had the courage to start till last year.  Did lots of stuff younger but it never stuck.  Everyone has envy of those who had the courage or support to do it sooner.  Stood up for what they believed to their parents, etc.  Here I am at 25 exactly and I envy not only the people who got to start sooner?  But the great many of you who not only pass and done it sooner, but the self confidence many of you have just to step outside daily as yourselves.

Began my transition only a few months ago at 18; I'm less than a month from 19, and I am looking to go full time after the summer (I wish I could now, but my employment requires me to present as male). The name change is done, new health card and dl, changed my name with the bank.

I feel like a failure to have started hormones and being fulltime at 23 (will be 28 in a week). I live stealth and pass without issue, but I'm still pre-op. I wished I started earlier.  I also feel like I've been pre-op far longer than most people and it will be a few years before I can even imagine being able to afford surgery.

I started transition and name change at 18 and hormones at 19 Surgery is a long way off though.

I started transitioning at 16...but didn't start hormones til 3 years later, but I lived full time since I was 16.
