Hey all, I'll try and keep this relatively quick as I have been known to natter when given an opening 

Anyways, I'm not exactly transgender myself but my partner is however. Admittedly, I'm somewhat ill-informed about the entire area so I thought it'd be wise to join up to a place like this to see if I could actually gather up as much insight regarding the area as possible. And what better way of getting to know the ins and outs from those in the know themselves? 

I'm sure there will be may others like myself that will find themselves in my situation and no doubt have their own stories and advice to share. All of which will be highly appreciated. 

And if you're a little curious about myself: I'm 24 and currently living in the UK. And have a variety of very healthy and very geeky little interests featuring reading and collecting comic books, playing video games [you'll have to excuse me sometimes as I am VERY passionate about them T_T], making terrible noises on the guitar and bass [I'm learning  ] and generally living life in my own little casual way.

Looking forward to posting with you all and no doubt I'll make some cool friends along the way too. Thanks for reading~

Welcome to thwe group. As I am trans myself my experiance will difer from yours but I do have one thing in common.
My wife of 4 years is transitioning.  Not to male, just androgyn but s/he is on HRT to aquire male traits.
This place is a good resourse with alot of diferant people in diferant situations.

Oh and BTW, bravo good job on trying to understand this rather than run away.

Well, last comic I read was The Walking Dead, I got two of the rather large compiled hardbacks for Christmas along with a few other *actual* books and I kinda wanted to get them done and dusted before I cracked on with the rest.

Kinda trying to keep an eye out for a new Goon trade paperback, as I love that series. It's rather peculiar how a series that started off as something rather silly just to pass the time has actually developed a REALLY engrossing plot...  o_o

I got six lol, i didnt know you couldnt choose them D:

But there was a superman, something called radical, couple of iron man, the green hornet and something about nuecular robots.
Not read them yet, the radical one looks pretty cool!
