I've already posted a few times but just found out about this intro thinga-ma-bob and thought I'd say hi and tell a bit about myself.

I'm a pre-T FtM and am a college student.....at an all women's institution. A blessing and a curse in one. I'm not seriously considering transferring yet though. It's an awesome school.

I've been passing as a guy 24/7 for about 2 months now, even on campus where people are supposed to know me. I always pass until I open my mouth. I'm hoping to start gender therapy sometime soon. Summer will be a bit complicated but it looks like my psych. is working things out so that won't cause any problems.

Uhmm....I guess that's it. I've been skulking around this conference for about a month now and finally decided to start posting and becoming a part of the community and all. This place has helped me a lot so far.

It has to be hard to pass a male student in an all women's institution. How do you manage that?

Haha, yeah it sounds impossible and insane but it's actually an awesome place to do it. There are a ton of genderqueer people on campus and have been a few FtMs in the past. It's a very liberal school so people look like all sorts of absurdly interesting combinations. Much of the time I get mistaken for someone's visiting boyfriend and I do get carded a lot when normally I would have been able to just pass through school events unmolested. As time goes on I become more and more of a figurehead. Before long I'm pretty sure I'll be the poster child. For now, I'm okay with that. I go stealth off campus and that's good enough for me. I get the support I need from my whole campus.
