This was featured on a recent edition of a gossip program here, on British TV.

The guy claimed he needed a strong young man to help with his luggage so he naturally goes to Rentboy.com.

The article says his movement is rabbidly Christian. There is nothing Christian about the activities of these types of people.

Power and attention.

These people push the same buttons.

America. Tradition. Family. Safety. Sex. Threat about dying.

Over here, they tend toward some different emphases. They tend to make considerably less money than in the States. And patriotism isn't really a respectable issue here. But we get them as well.

The problem is, they don't support tradition, just a Hollywood version. They don't support family, they tend to cause more problems, their version of safety is more akin to fascism, sex is a reality inspite of what they try to claim and they don't have any authority to adjudicate over dying.

I always feel I want to be in the back of the audience, put up my hand, and say, " excuse me, but did anyone vote for you being the conscience of the nation, or did you just decide to appoint yourself in some sort of nazi coup?"

It's been said that many people who get into psychiatry as a profession do so trying to understand their own problems.  Maybe this is why Rekers did.  But instead of accepting the fact he is physically attracted to men and that wasn't changing, he went on an anti-gay hate campaign.  Thou dost protest too much.

This guy was paid a reported $160,000 to testify AGAINST gays and lesbians being allowed to adopt in Florida because he was considered an expert witness (and a homophobe).  Who approved that?  My guess is their closeted gay Governor Crist.  You gotta love it.

What I found funny was the Family Research Council, a group founded by Rekers and another homophobe, James Dobson, said they would have to look through their records to see if he was ever associated with the group.    He's still listed as an officer on NARTH's website.  Maybe they ought to focus their energies on curing homosexuality on their officers first.

This seems to support a lot of thoughts about the sexuality of those who tend to fight feverishly against homosexuality. Self-hate can be pretty strong I suppose. I am not sure they really know what kind of damage they can cause. They are most likely responsible for a lot of suicides. Just think of that kind of reality hitting you in the face.

I sent George a message basically telling him he is outted and there is no way out of it. He should apologize to the Gay community and then spend his life as his true self. He should also become an LGBT activist. You have to admit he has a LOT of information that would likely be useful. I figure if Johnny Lee Clary (former imperial wizard of the KKK) can change his life and become a civil rights activist why can't George do the same thing?

If this bloke is a founder of this mob of fruit bats, has anyone pointed out that their cure obviously doesn't work.  Maybe if they have given evidence under oath they can be prosecuted for perjury, or maybe charged with fraud.
