Hi! I just started out on this forum relatively recently, and consider myself a MTF very, very early in transition.  I am not sure if I am posting in the right place, or if the fashion section or cross-dressing section would be a more appropriate part of the form.  Anyways, I have been interested in buying some female clothing to see how I would "pass".  I don't know if this is a good measure to find out if one would pass or not; or if I would come out like this at all.  But, I am really just curious about it.  I took the plunge last week and ordered some items online (I ended up asking about them in this topic https://www.susans.org/forums/index.php/topic,76987.msg529941.html#msg529941 ... Anyways, on a total whim last night I bought some stuff online to, hopefully, improve my shape.  They are going to be shipped to my house in the next couple days.  I ended buying all these from Victoria's Secret.  I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with these? Or with products similar? Also, any opinions if they will work?

I bought the Invisible Push-Up Bra (http://www2.victoriassecret.com/commerce/onlineProductDisplay.vs?namespace=productDisplay&origin=onlineProductDisplay.jsp&event=display&prnbr=GN-239919&cgname=OSBRPADHZZZ... It says it is self adhesive, and I was more thinking it could be a cleavage enhancer? I have seen these type of bras to enhance cleavage, and I will tell you if it actually works.  Physically, I have a chest that can be pushed together to make cleavage.  I bought it in a B cup, and we see if it actually works!

I also bought the Bum Booster from Victoria's secret.  I want it really to do just that, enhance the bum! But, I am worried as my hips are not like GG.  I bought it in a large, which means it is 31-33 around the waist and 40 around the hips.  As it currently stands, I am a 36 waist by 40.5 hips, which is a fairly masculine WHR.  Do you think this is going to be a problem, and what temporary solutions (besides losing weight) might work to help it fit correctly? Also, it comes with inserts for the buttocks, but if it doesn't fill correctly in that area I was thinking about filling it with cotton balls? I don't know if that would work, and it might sound ridiculous.

Finally, I ordered a 100-way bra and got style secrets shaping inserts for it.  My understanding is that shaping inserts are to provide more cleavage, but I was almost thinking of using it as a filler?

Very excited about having these come in, and will let you know how it goes.  Any feedback would be appreciated as I am just dipping my toes into womanhood!

I have the padded panty from Fredrick's, and it works well.  I am slowly losing the hip pads, as I am getting happier with my shape.  My butt not so much.

I also use a Nubra, which is similar to the one at Victoria's.  Works well when I wear a low cut top.  good cleavage.

I have not found a bra that works to give me cleavage, other than the Nubra.

Thanks Janet for the recommendations... I actually just got the stuff from Victoria's Secret in! Oh my god, so excited about it.  The Victoria's secret invisible push-up bra, is actually a Nubra by the way.  Turns out the band of the bra is a bit tight (a 36) so I might get a 38 next order.  The top and dress are very pretty, except for my masculine shoulder and arms eww especially in the dress.  Might put some pics up of the set up :)

I use a nubra style bra, bought from Walmart. :p It's good, and lasts me for about 6 months. But, I only wear it a few times a week. I've been wanting to get a nice bra from Victoria's Secret, but the prices scare me. haha. I suppose I'll start saving :p

Push-up bras are a reasonable substitute for breast forms, bags of rice, etc. But not all of them work. Some look terrible, and some look great. I've found that what works best is something with more coverage, and with cups that aren't completely adjacent. There should be at least a half-inch of fabric between the cups which will be against your sternum when you wear them. Also, if you get too small a cup size, the shape will be weird. Better to get a larger cup size and have a little space, and avoid wearing tops with necklines that are too low-cut.

It won't look as good as a proper breast form, but I could never stand the thought of those things or bags or rice, etc. And eventually, hormones help you fill out your bra. If you get the right band size and a cup that looks right, it might end up working well for support; it did for me.

In the long term, push-up bras can look unnatural, so take care in which ones you wear and in which circumstances. I've mostly stopped wearing them, because they are a bit too much and they are weirdly bulky without actually being part of me.
All changes, even the most longed for, have their melancholy; for what we leave behind us is a part of ourselves; we must die to one life before we can enter another.

I bought breast forms from the Breast Form Shop (I'm only allowed to post the site as a Mod, there are others available on the internet). Very good very helpful, very understanding and very discrete. Fit great, and can be 'glued' on - temporary only of course. But the good ones are expensive. I paid about $400. They are the same as used for mastectomy patients. Love em feel very natural and have a nice 'bounce'. Obviously not the real things but as the puppies develop I'll happily swap
BTW you get what you pay for. If it is cheap it will be.

There are lots of padded 'girdles' around as well.

If it makes you look good, feel good, it is good.
Women have known that since Eve found lipstick and mascarra

I found an independent lingere shop that sold me my mastectomy forms at half the price that medical suppliers sell them at, awful sensitive to those poor women whove suffered Cancer, that still bothers me a little . I just asked and told them why i was buying them, they can size them based on measurements and how big you want to be . The first place I called was terribly rude but they`ve since closed HAHA  the lady on the phone said in a discusted tone ," well I `m used to talking to women about this, and they have insurance to pay..." I thought  their sensitivity and service were priceless , I gave her my best What-EveR and hung up.   I eventualy bought a set of silicone forms by  Amonea as well as a set of their fiber filled forms ,the silicone forms are awsome ,but the fiberfilled are cooler in hot weather and cost a tenth as much .  I bought a butt  enhancer from the same shop, it is called hidden assets , basically it has a molded foam  derrierre  sewn  to a panty girdle  ,the effect  is quite good.

That is a lot of money...but if it pays off I'd gladly brainstorm to get a pair! I just need to get myself to a VS store to take a look rather than guessing at online pics. I've been using wallyworld bras for the past year and quite frankly rarely have the money to buy things these days. Hopefully a sack of cash from out of the blue lands at my cute footsies and I can shop to my hearts content :)
