It was easier than I expected.

I was told to bring my ID, insurance (my insurance covers office visits), and a letter from my shrink saying I'd been seen and deemed sane. I brought them, they copied them. Waited forever and nearly had a coronary waiting. I didn't think I'd get my script today, just thought I'd get a lecture about all the changes and risks, which I know of and have deemed to be worth it. But it wasn't like that at all. The doctor walked in, asked me some questions, told me about the changes I'd see, talked about monitoring bloodwork for cholesterol levels and a few rare side effects, asked me what meds I was on, and then mentioned trying the androgel, or injections. I prefer injections, based on what I've heard and the prices. He said he usually starts out with EDITED DOSE every other week, so he wrote the script and told me to come back in 2 months.

The pharmacy didn't have it in stock, so I have to go back tomorrow between 2-3 pm. I'm so stoked I'm actually thinking about doing my first shot in their bathroom, lmao.

My first visit went just like yours.  In and out with the prescription.  Just some questions, paperwork, and labs (I had my first ones done the same day to get a baseline).

You should probably remove the dosage from your post though.  I don't want you to get in trouble.

W00TTT. I had trouble finding the vials in stock. I guess there's a manufacturer hold on the generic vials, so practically no one will have them in stock til mid June. Plus I had to transfer my script 3 times to find a pharmacy with just one vial and one dose in stock, then I found a different pharmacy with another vial, equaling enough for a month's supply. But I guess I"m only "allowed" to transfer my script once, so I have to have the doctor call in a whole new script to the pharmacy that has it in stock in order to get my dose in 2 weeks. Oh, the hoops we jump through.

But I really don't care...I just stabbed myself in the thigh with a rather long needle full of testosterone! I think I had so much adrenaline rushing through me that I didn't feel it. I didn't feel it burn as I injected it. I didn't even feel the needle go in. It was surreal. It only barely aches now.

Question....what changes did you guys notice first? Change in mood? Voice? Appetite? What?

I noticed my voice change really quickly, along with patches of skin changing texture, but genital growth was the very first change along with a higher sex drive. You will probably feel/see it tomorrow or the day after. 

Um, ok, is it all in my head or why is my throat suddenly EXTREMELY sore? I'm IMing my drag dad about what changes he got first and stuff, and suddenly bam...my throat hurts like hell.

It's entirely possible that your vocal cords could be changing already. Enjoy!

and yes, you can have vocal chord changes right away.  I got a sore throat, and vocal changes in the first few days, actually.
