I went in for a consultation last Wednesday about getting rid of my beard.  THe technician said that the regular cost was $450 per session.  However, since I had so many white/gray hairs, she would cut the cost to $225.

What have you been paying for laser hair removal for the face?

$400/session for the first six sessions. $200/session for anything after that.

That's a high price though... cheapest I could find in my area (near Philly), but generally much higher than usual. I specifically wanted a LightSheer operated by an MD... so that narrowed my options.

$100 a session, plus $50 for numbing cream every 3 sessions.

The price dropped by $150 when the F showed up on my license.

I paid $2000 for 10 sessions for the face and neck. I get another 10 free for up to two years for follow ups.

I've been reading about sessions here in this thread, but when a girl returned my message the other day about her laser and electrolysis services, she mentioned nothing about 'sessions'.  All she said was that for the "blend" (her term for the mixture of laser and electrolysis) it was $25 for 15 minutes, $40 for 30 minutes, $55 for 45 minutes and $70 for an hour.  Am I getting ripped off?  This is in Lexington, Kentucky

There are too many criteria for the Tria to be of any real value to most trans women, IMO.  It still looks to be in the experimental stage, I'm sure electrolysists don't mind.   ;)

Around $400 per session, depending on who does it, my girl is a PA.  PAs or docs are usually more expensive.  Laser centers with certified technicians are usually a little cheaper.

For Aeron--
some places charge by time, like the person you talked to, and some places will charge you a set price per "session".  I'm not certain, but I have a feeling that the costs would ultimately equal out-- if you pay $400 all the time, regardless of how much growth, you are getting your money's worth for the first few sessions but as you have less and less hair, there won't be as much to zap, and it won't take as long, so you're sort of "overpaying" at the end.  A place that charges by time will be more expensive for the first few sessions, and get progressively cheaper as all you need are touchups.  Hope that helps.

I pay about $400 for an hour session for laser. Though they generally charge by the time it takes, so if they can do your face and beard in half an hour you shouldn't be paying more than $300.

I've never heard of joint laser and electrolysis. It seems like that may not be safe, since the skin gets really tender after laser, and I'd imagine more work would increase the chances of scarring.

i pay 150 per session, but get a 10% discount cause i bought 5 or more.  Its overseen by a Dr. and the person actually doing it is an RN or something.  This cost for me includes face and neck, numbing cream and basically everything i need.  Sessions go quick, tho i dont have a ton of hair or anything.
