Today this girl I've been talking to, that somewhat knows but doesn't rly understand, &I went out to dinner...
Well we were there for so long talking that I had drank two cups of iced tea without even realizing it!... I had to urinate rly rly bad, so I was like I rly have to go but I don't wanna go here. She asked y, I didn't know how to rly explain it to her about using the mens &womens restroom.

I've never used the mens, so I learned to hold it. And when I walk into the womens I just out myself, or all the ladies run out lol.

So how could I explain this whole thing to her... or about being trans... I've tried before, she knows I bind, but I guess im not good at explaining things... any website I can show her, that'll explain these types of things? Or any suggestions as to what I could tell her?

I'm not really clear on whether she thinks you're male or female..

I was thinking about the question of gender vs sexual orientation the other day and worked out it's a bit like a set menu.
You can have the "rolled roast" or the " chicken fillets", but there is also a  choice of vegetables or salad to go with it.

Im pretty sure she sees me as female as she doesn't quite understand.

I printed this out and gave it to my aunt and uncle to explain what I was trying to say when I came out to them.  http://www.tsfaq.info/  They've been very supportive and I think having something to break the ice and explain certain things from a third-person perspective helped.

I've also used Ethan Daniel's website http://www.ftmtransition.com/.  It's probably more information than she'll ever want to know, but I gave that to my mom and dad to give them an idea of what changes to expect from T and an example of a successfully transitioned transman.

If people don't get the "medical talk", maybe simplify it.  The thing that I think of is something like: say there's a car that runs on gas (cis females) and trucks that run on diesel (cis males).  You're basically a diesel truck running on gas, which in turn doesn't really work out at all.  You need to switch it out for some diesel and it'll be at top performance.

or something like that.  people seem to have the "ooohhh" look on their face if it's said in that kind of way.

Hey that's actually kind of a very good way of putting it.

I shall try using that.
