Three Candidates for Superior Court Judge on June Ballot
By The Independent

http://www.independentnews.com/fullstory.php?newsid=806

There are three candidates seeking to become a Superior Court judge.

Victoria Kolakowski is currently an administrative law judge for the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC). As such she presides in proceedings related to utility energy procurement, high voltage power line siting and environmental compliance, and renewable energy contracts. She lists over four years experience as a judge and over 20 years experience as a lawyer, former senior government lawyer,  and former general counsel for publicly traded company.

She is endorsed by the Sierra Club, California Nurses Association, Alameda Labor Council, AFL-CIO,  National Women's Political Caucus,  and Supervisors Keith Carson and Nate Miley,

"If I am elected, I would be the first openly lesbian, gay transgender (LGBT) superior court judge elected in Alameda County, the first openly LGBT person elected countywide, and the first transgender trial court judge in the United States," she declares on her website.

She stands a chance-- Alameda County is a neighbor to the city/county San Francisco!  The point though is that she has been endorsed on the basis of some demonstrated professional competence and not BECAUSE she is transgendered or other GLBT status.

There are "good Christian" members of the legal profession who are the most incompetent idiots with several "under investigation" warnings on their licenses whom the right wing would endorse in a minute just because of the "Christian" personality.  (EOR -end of rant) No wonder we are in the current political melt down that we are!!
I refuse to have a war of wits with a half armed opponent!!

Wiser now about Post Op reality!!

Yeah, there has been nothing said about the TG status, all the discussion over there has to do with violent crime - particularly among young people, as Oakland is the largest city in Alameda County, and other areas like San Leandro and Hayward are big time gang-land territory.
FIGHT APATHY!, or don't...
