Dilation is a lonely exercise.  As most of you do, I make sure that I am alone when I dilate.  But this morning, while I was spreading the gel on the dilator, I wondered how many other women in the world were doing the same thing at that time.  It gave me a warm feeling of connection to untold others.  We share a common experience in the isolation of our rooms.

It is a solitary time, though I haven't felt lonely. I love the quiet time. I've found it to be a good exercise in mindfulness and personal caregiving. No one was supposed to have noticed    Sleeping pills combined with dilating around midnight tend to have this effect.

There's even a song about it...



Yes... I am terrible...

yes it is a lonely but very nessary thing  it gets better with time  post 1+ year hang in there  it is worth the time you spend now
