I was out on a service call and Suzanne emailed me, she called work, called home, all but my cell phone.

I unfortunately missed her and she got someone to fill the position in 20 minutes flat...

Dohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

LOL Oh well.

Hi Sara

That was me. Sorry :(

I was supposed to have my surgery on May 5th but because of a paperwork screw up the funding didn't come through until the day after the cut off date six weeks prior and I lost that spot. That was hard. I was in a pretty bad place for quite awhile. I was rescheduled for September 20th but when Suzanne emailed me about June 21st I was on it like white on rice. I hope that not getting that spot doesn't put you into a bad place and I am sorry that you didn't get it, even though I am happy that I did (I realize that makes no sense).

Sorry hon <3

Look on the bright side.

At least it's going to happen.

It is going to happen. Of that you can be certain.

(Unless, of course, I can pretend to be you. Hmmmmm.  :D )

That's how I got my date, Suzanne called and the next thing I knew I was scheduled with only 5 weeks notice.

There may be other opportunities that come up. Maybe she can put you oncall if there is such a thing.

Well this is the email I wrote to her

Yes please, just write it in its an automatic thing for me, I can stop work anytime and go to Montreal. So please automatically write me in!

:) This would of been an awesome date as well to heal etc..  Oh well though life goes on.

So if any cancels before Dr Brassard's vacation ill go definitely for sure!

-Sara

I sure hope so, would be nice to go earlier.

Sorry you missed the opt. Sara... Perhaps another earlier date will come through for you  :icon_chick:

It's kind of like waiting for a package to arrive, but you are the package

Yeah atleast I got my package from Montreal today. The package which contains all the documents for the surgery.

I see some revisions to the context were done Apr/2009. The rest I guess as been the same since day 1. The reality was blurry 1 month ago, now, it is CLEAR in HD.

I am a truly happy girl! I will finally be free'd from my unhappiness maker!~

unhappiness maker lol

So do you have to get a lot of pre-op tests done, or is it just my surgeon being obsessive? lol

CBC, BUN, HIV, Glucose, etc.. (Preop test) the normal ones.

I went and got them done yesterday, to get the results early to see if anything is wrong if so, im going to fix it before my date.. then provide them with a new copy since asked to have a copy of 6 weeks prior to surgery.

The one only downfall I see is no Sexual intercourse for 3 months! haahah jk :)

Hi SaraR

Sorry to hear that you missed a date, however as Spacial said, "At least it's going to happen.", and you know the date.  Time will fly by and before you know it, you will be a 'New Women'.

I remember asking my surgeon for a date and I was given one (3 days before my birthday, what a bummer), however I was to busy working and enjoying life that I did not count down the days until my surgery.

In regards to blood tests the only one that I can remember having that was a prerequisite for surgery was the HIV one.  This was in 1991 and if you were HIV positive, then you could forget about surgery at the time.

Being deflowered one year later after my surgery is going to be one night I will never ever forget.

Take care and all the best for the future.

Kind regards
Sarah B
