I'm open to the fact that I'm probably being a hypochondriac.

However, I briefly mentioned some recent health problems in a video and someone commented saying that they sounded very much like symptoms of ovarian cancer.
So I've done some research, and the symptoms are very vague and minor, but I do seem to match them.

Over probably the past month or so:
1. I've been getting an ache around my stomach above the belly button. Imagine you've been hunched over, squishing your stomach for a few hours and you're about there. I do hunch at computers, but I've been noticing the ache when I'm out and about, or even lying down.
2. I have also been getting hunger pains. Well, not quite pains, but that uncomfortable empty feeling and stomach growling.
3. Following 2, I eat. Problem is, I get full very quickly and find myself feeling quite ill and bloated after eating.
4. My stomach is larger than before. This could be the fat from my hips moving to my stomach from T. However, I'm only 5"3' and 7st and I've got a bit of a rounded belly. My stomach was always flat before.

Any opinions or anything would be good. T is an unconfirmed risk of ovarian cancer. However, I'm only 19 and have only been on it for 3 months. I used to have regular periods and never really had any problems before.

I will most certainly be getting this checked out when I see my doctor soon.

ovarian cancer mimics the symptoms of IBS, stress/depression. do your symptoms fluctuate or are they consistent? if they're consistent, and slowly worsening.. then maybe be it is cancer, or maybe you're being a hypochondriac. that being said my grandmother died of ovarian cancer, go get yourself a pelvic exam. better safe than sorry.

My digestion has always been kinda dodgy. But this means I tend to know exactly what digestive pains feel like as opposed to others. This DEFINITELY does not feel digestive whatsoever.
It feels more towards the surface if that makes sense. Digestive pains tend to feel deeper down inside the stomach.

As for depression, I've had that for years too. Since transition though, it's been far better. Still suffer from occasional aches and lethargy. They're all aches that I've become familiar with though. I've had occasional back ache which I haven't mentioned cause I've put it down to depression and bad posture.
And I don't have anything to be particularly stressed about.

Like I said, I'll be getting it all checked out, but it'd just be good to hear what people here think in the meantime.

you could be pregnant cause u said it felt like ur stomach was gettin squished and ur belly is gettin rounder. or it could be ur ovaries shutting down from T and its not flowin so well with the rest of ur body cause its used to having functional ovaries.

I think if I'd have been having vaginal sex with men then pregnancy would have crossed my mind.
I neither have vaginal sex, or sex with men. Or sex at all at the moment.

well thats good abstinance is key its always the way to go. dont want any aids thats what i say. T shuts down ur ovaries so that could be whats causing the pain although i dont think it do all that. but T also has a lot of effects on the body so maybe its just the T. i can imagine inside ur body its something like this:
T: hey guys hows it goin just thought id stop bye and take over.
Body:  >:( i dont think so this aint bout to be goin down up in my house.
T: well i just thought i could help.
Body: get up on out here
T: well i already moved all my stuff in, so looks im staying.
Body: the hell with this i aint livin here with no dukes of hazard boy, ->-bleeped-<- im outta here.(she stomps out wildly)

the body is like  Madea the black lady and the T is like napolean dynamite

I'm sorry, but your posts really frustrate me. They're impossible to comprehend due to poor grammar, lack of/incorrect punctuation or bad spelling. Not to mention the completely unfounded information and "facts".
I'd like to carry this thread on sensibly.

that was good Shaun.

I had pains from T, took care of it with surgery. The pain was from ovaries and uterus complaining big time. Therefore, the T could be the culprit, Doc will tell you.

I've gone through similar pains often when I've had a lot of food containing dairy products as I'm lactose intolerant. I also get a lot of pain in my stomach from stress so I have symptoms come and go. There have been times where I'd be in pain every time I ate.

Thing is there are a lot of reasons why you have these particular symptoms and there are many different possible causes. Sometimes doctors have trouble figuring out what exactly is causing a symptom because there are so many things that produce similar symptoms.

I definitely agree that you should see your doctor and just keep an eye on how you're body's doing. Note any changes if new symptoms arise, if they come and go how frequently and when during the day or if it's after a certain activity. These things may be key in figuring out what exactly may be going on.

Did you require surgery? Did your doc say the T was causing major issues?

before I was properly diagnosed with a food allergy, the doctor had me keep a daily journal of symptoms, meals, activities to see what was triggering everything. Since you haven't been to the doctor yet Ryan maybe doing something similar would help narrow the diagnosis down more quickly?

Ovarian cancer signs can be very subtle and mimic other things.

My sister was recently diagnosed with ovarian cancer, stage IIIc.  Most ovarian cancers aren't diagnosed until at least stage III or IV (which are advanced) because of this.

Her signs: lethargy and weight loss, which she attributed to poor diet and stress at work.  Turns out the lethargy was from anemia.  One of her ovaries was the size of a honeydew melon, and she did not feel full, or have any pain, or anything attributable to either her stomach or periods.

I'd recommend getting checked out.  I do wonder if my sister's cancer would have been diagnosed sooner if she had regular gynecologic exams.  She didn't primarily because she has no partners and hates doctors.

Yeah, I'll definitely be getting it checked out.
The thing is, I've had many of the things that it mimics (bowel trouble/depression) and I know the feelings well. But these are definitely new feelings, aches and pains that have started over the last month or so.
Also, having woken up with the stomach ache, it's actually below my belly button at the moment. On the left side.
I get lethargic quite often, but I put it down to quite often having poor sleeping patterns, depression and not having the best diet in the world.
I haven't had any weight loss to my knowledge, but I'm pretty sure I haven't put any on either. I'll have to weigh myself later.

being serious it is probably the effect of T on your ovaries. I have problems with my reproductive organs and i get all of those symptoms. My doctor told me it was my ovaries, so it could be ovarian cancer. You could also have some inflammation in the colon which i also had/have and the pain is extreme. The area where you described pain is pretty close to where part of your colon is located. But again as I said T is pobably the culprit. In my last post I was trying to be funny but serious, your ovaries are a part of you(not being stupid) but if you introduce something that is going to shut them down it's not gonna go quietly.

I did require surgery and good thing cause then insurance covered it. Radical hysto. The need wasn't only because of the T however. The T did cause the aches and pains I was describing then and the  constant bloating, it had a side affect that I am not going into also that suprprised me.

Alright, this is the dumb captain obvious answer that makes perfect sense but isn't the answer you're looking for.

See a doctor. They can either say "no there's a difference between what you are feeling and ovarian cancer" or confirm it.

Like I said, I'll be getting it checked out.
I've got a doctors appointment tomorrow about getting more T, so I'll bring it up there.

Ryan, it could be ovarian cysts. That's actually a side-effect of taking T that many guys will experience. I've had quite a few friends who have developed cysts.

Your doctor will probably tell you that you're going to need to see a gynecologist and have an exam done. A tough thing for a lot of transguys. Good luck!!
