Who are the main surgeons for top surgery in UK?
I've only ever heard people mention Dai Davies but there must be some more, surely?

It's difficult. Obviously there are more surgeons than just Dai Davies... however there's not anyone who specialises in ftm top surgery, unlike the US. It's more like a surgeon who often does breast enlargements / reductions / reconstructions will agree to do the surgery.

Then to complicate it more, it depends if you're taking the NHS or private route.

Ahh looks like it's Dai Davies then unless I save enough to go to the US.
I'd be going private btw.

It's up to you Addison, but in the case of UK surgeons, I suggest you should look for those that can demonstrate the best repair.

Essentially, the surgery you are looking for is removal of mammory tissue and repair of the streached skin to appear as smooth as possible.

Best of luck whatever you decide.

I've not calculated the costs properly or anything, but from what I can gather, for the cost you might as well go to the states where you're far more likely to get a good result.

Dai Davies is around £5,200. Dr Garramone is $5,700 (£3,937).

Personal opinion here, but I would never have surgery in the UK. I think the surgeons here are quite poor. There's been a fair few good results from Davies, but plenty of bad ones too. I just don't think that UK surgeons are even close to the standard of the US.
Dr Garramone is the best for DI and Dr Fischer is the best for peri. Again, just my opinion.

EDIT: As for other UK surgeons, there's Lena Andersson and Victoria Rose.

I didn't know the surgery in the US was that cheap. It's good to know the costs now, 'cause I want to start saving asap.
Will probably end up going overseas if the results here are that bad.

I definitely suggest you do your research before picking a surgeon.
http://transbucket.com and http://groups.yahoo.com/group/FTM-UK are both brilliant resources.

I've seen loads pictures of peri that Dr Fischer has done and it looks amazing. I just thought the cost was like £6,000.
I'm not even on T yet, for now I just want to get the money saved early because being on T for years and still have breasts will depress me to no end.

Periareolar is more expensive. There's often revisions involved too which add to the cost.
For a peri by Fischer, you're looking at around $7,000 to $8,000 (£4,800 to £5,500). That's not including revisions.
Peri by Garramone is $6,300 (£4,353).

I had a feeling it would be more expensive. Thanks for the info.
