I've written about Gender on more than one occasion. It's a pretty complicated concept overall, and something that peopl egenrally either get or don't get, in general.

However, it's very much a real thing, and I find it fascinating that people have a hard time understanding it.

So, being the sort of weird gal I am, I figure I'll do it again...

Gender has several parts to it. It is often referred to as if it's one massive single thing because all the parts of it work together.

Sex Identity is related to it, mostly because Sex Identity is what most people call Gender Identity. That's important, because if you don't realize there is a difference between sex identity and gender identity, you tend to not understand Gender as a whole, and the impact of it. Not to mention you run into all sorts of logic bombs that don't work.
