Great. They're basing this doctor's disciplinary proceedings on the evidence of a bunch of nutjobs. Poor guy. Admits to lying to the doctor to give himself a history consistent with GID. What's the doctor supposed to do? Hook everyone up to a polygraph to check?

And hey, at least they partially disarmed the pedophile.

Actually they made the pedophile more dangerous.  Children typically trust women more than men.  My first therapist did background checks and if you had anything there indicating that you were inclined in that way, she would not treat you at all.

That does not matter.  Pedophiles should not be given treatment and this one was and that is criminal.  At any time he could have tried passing off as a she and with the full blessing of the medical community.  Thankfully he never did.

I can make my weapon really, really dangerous for others.  However, my not firing it just shows that I have not used it not that it is any less deadly.  Same thing here, this guy was given a greater means to draw in his targets.  I dare say that the actions of the doctor(s) in this is rather criminal and this particular case needs to be thoroughly examined and guidelines revised.

I see what you are saying.  I think me and Dennis were referring to now and you are talking about when this person was pre-op.  I agree the pre-op, this person was potentially much more dangerous through enabling them treatment.

It is obvious to me that they cut off the wrong head when the initial GRS was performed on this person.  Actually they should reverse the surgery and amputate both hands in the reconstruction attempt.

A little harsh maybe but I've seen first hand what these people can do.  No mercy.

I agree with you Steph, they cut off the wrong head. Being a pedophile has nothing to do with sex. They could have cut his genitals off but he will still act in the sameway. Most are hardwired to the act and nothing can cure them. I, too, have seen what they have done to children. Send that person to me and I will perform the surgery.

With all of that have being said, once a person does their time then should their crime still be a huge issue?  After all they were released back into the World.  If they are still a danger then shouldn't they still be locked up?

I would say that they have done their time in most cases, but when it come to pedophile, they should have to stay locked up or find some place to go. It has been proven there is no cure. They are all repeat offenders and I don't know how they could repay their debt to society. Given the chance they will all prey on children, no matter how long or what kind of courses they have in prison. There are no children in prison.
