Affirmations, the GLBT community center in Ferndale (9Mile just West of Woodward) has several support groups for the trans community. Every Tuesday from 7-9 PM is TG Rap, a general group for trans people. Affirmations is a safe and comfortable environment for everyone, so feel free to attend. I will be happy to answer any questions or concerns. Arlene

Is it free? i was looking on the website and it said something about $50 membership

It doesn't cost anything to go to support groups and events at Affirmations. It is free. If you can donate or buy a memebership, that's wonderful, because it is a non-profit organization, but, most people can't afford to pay anything. We just want you to attend. Incidentally, on Saturday, May 15th (week from today), Affirmations along with Transgender Detroit will be hosting the 4th annual Transgender Day of Empowerment. It is a free, day long event with speakers, seminars, and organization-information tables. Hope you can attend. (11:00 AM-6:00 PM)
