I was listening to the radio at work the other day, and I thought I heard an offer that some of you ladies might get excited about, when the DJ promised, "We'll hook you up with a brand new beaver!"

Alas, they were only indicating their intention to play the latest offering from Justin Bieber.

Thanks Jamie  . I have to admit I have no idea who Justin Bieber is or what he does.

I do remember the line from one of those awful Niels ? someone comedy movie spoofs. The female is climbing a ladder and wearing a skirt, he is behind her. He says "Nice beaver", reply "yes I've had it stuffed". Then hands down a taxidermist stuffed beaver. It was such a funny movie I cannot remember the name of the people or the name of the movie.

Brilliantly visual comic movies - no matter how much you watch them there is always something new that you notce going on in the background.

I remember watching one of those movies (I think it was 33 1/3) in London, and when they got to the point where they were panning the walls of the blues club, showing pictures of the Hindenburg, the Titanic, Fred Rogers ... I wondered how many people outside the U.S. got that joke.  :D

But speaking of creative hearing, there's another radio ad that has been getting a lot of play that I keep mishearing.  It's for a strip club called "Sheik's Palace", and I swear the first time I heard it they said, "Watch lady sheep take it off!

Must be a Minnesota thing.   Sounds more like a Welsh thing to me, though.  >:-)
