Sometimes in life, people fear what they do not understand. This is especially true when it comes to society at large, in dealing with those who are transgender. Unfortunately, it is those fears that give predators ideas as well, bringing those irrational and heretofore unjustified fears into reality.

One of the biggest fears most have expressed is that somehow those who are transgender are really sexual predators seeking to "pretend to be the opposite sex" in order to gain easier access to young women and children in order to hurt them. This fear has been repeated often enough in recent decades that nearly everyone on the planet has heard them.

It does not help when the medical community joins in and facilitates such predatory desires.

No good can come of this.

I'll call bs on this story, between the "all points bulletin" (with $500 attached to it) and the claim they got only a "partial reassignment" (orchi?) it sounds like an attention seeking scheme.

The story comes originally, as far as I can see, from a CBS TV program, Inside Edition. I don't know the quality of this program or CBS for that matter.

But the whole thing sounds so much like a few press types eagerly biting the latest piece of publicity seeking titbit from this very pathetic man.

Hardly worth a second thought really.

Karr has not had a sex change, but refers to himself as a woman and holds a Washington state license under the name Delia Alexis Reich.

This is not good for WA-state transwomen. Actually very, very bad.

I live in WA. I doubt this will impact us much if any at all. There is a very profitable transgender medical comunity in Seatle. The doctors and therapists are not going to stop treating us just because 1 crazy person.
