Idiot is actually a really REALLY mild word to describe this guy.

Since he moved in he has made an entire mess of the house, leaving food festering in the kitchen so we ended up with an ant infestation and all sorts of crap like that.

Tonight I go home after being out all day and the fire alarm is blaring. I go to turn it off and realise all the fire alarms have been ripped off the ceiling, all four of them, just hanging off by the wires and can't be shut off.

What is WRONG with people? God knows how long the fire alarm has been blaring like this, nobody has bothered to tell the landlord, I was the first one to bother calling him about it.

some people are just careless and messy . i mean my own room is kinda mess but not that far , i just like to keep everything i use in a regular base in my reach . but dangerously messy people should be talked to (if only they could listen :-\ ) "been through this with a dangerously messy person , they never listen"

He doesn't listen at all, I yell at him pretty much daily for being disgusting.

Being disgusting is one thing, but ripping all the fire alarms out and then just leaving the house so somebody else can deal with it is beyond ridiculous.

It's so frustrating, 3 out of 4 house mates are great (me included :P) we get on fine, clean up after ourselves, and don't make noise at unreasonable hours.

But not this guy, he is a complete....eugh...I don't even know what words to use.

I sing the praises of the other flatmates yet....they didn't bother ringing the landlord and appear to not be in the house, ignore the problem and hope someone else fixes it? Bloody morons, why is it always ME.

This sounds like a very angry young man who could lash out.

If you can, try to find somewhere else, away from him.

In this country, such valdalism would have been enough for the landlord to call the police. Vandalisg fire equipment is a separate, more seruious offense.

But in any case, try to find somewhere else, away from this sad nutter.

that
and what i did (when i was renting an apartment with some guys for couple of years ), was just be as careless as they were , i found out that me doing it made them just automatically leave it to me , and when i didn't do it they were surprised , so i said that i'm not the only one living at this house and established my point the hard way , which was hard because i had to leave things that needed to be done (like fixing things they broke , clean their mess , get food! ,......) and i had to live with the chaos for a fair amount of time without even trying to fix anything or get anything in order (which was sooo annoying , but eventually they started doing things on their own (at least some things)
good luck

OMG... That's messed up stuff

Of coarse the others expect the prego seahorse to handle it all  :P

I wish I was there to raise hell with this clown and put his stuff to the curb

I think all you guys should take a vote whether to give this guy one more go, or get rid of him.  :)

I tried refusing to sort anything out and that's how we ended up with a bug infestation and I can't deal with that, I couldn't use the kitchen it was that horrible and covered in ants and spiders.

I always end up cleaning the toilet after him too....I have morning sickness and I really can't have my face in his mess as I throw up :(

I need to find somewhere else, a horrible flat mate would be fine if the landlord wasn't useless. There's so many problems in the house that I call about constantly and get told "yeah I'll sort it tomorrow" - tomorrow never comes.
