Hey kids, I don't really follow too many of today's female singer/songwriters as I find many to be quite sappy and tame.  I just came across KT Tunstall from Scotland and was amazed by this woman.  She truly sings and plays from the heart and has some very intelligible lyrics.  What I really love about this woman is her percussive playing style which is quite similar to mine.  I hope I can turn some others on to her.  Check out this video and catch her acoustic cover of the Jackson 5's I Want You Back--truly amazing!

Very Nice.   She has had a bit of air-play on ABC's Triple-J youth station here in Oz.
She sounds a bit like Deborah Conway,  of Girl Overboard, and Mothers of Pearl too.
