Elijah3291

hey guys, after $88, 3 weeks, and probably 7 visits to my courthouse I am pleased to say that my name has officially been changed.  I kept my middle name, just changed my first name.

Elijah O'Neil ______!!!!

and the women who gave me the final report of it handed me my paper and said "there you go Elijah" (she had only called me maggie)

The record is completely changed yet, but the paper she gave me counts at a temporary birth certificate until they write me a new one.. but I can go ahead and get a new ID and change my SSC and tell my school and bank etc.

YAY! I'm so excited that I dont have to write down my legal  :police: name for anything anymore, or tell official people that my name is ____, but call me ____.

What great news! I know the feeling--getting my court order for my name change was so liberating. Over here in Nevada, things take forever (and are way more expensive), so I had to wait like I think it was 6 weeks for the whole process from start until I got the thing in the mail. It was such a wonderful feeling though, and getting all my documents changed was great! A little time consuming, but seeing my actual name on all the cards and stuff instead of the one I was given was just awesome. I remember looking at my credit card thinking of how glad I was to see Aren Marrus ________ instead of the other. Awesome! Congrats!

The name change is probably one of the best moments a transsexual will have. I was pretty stoked when I got mine changed.

Elijah, do you ever use Eli?

Congrats!
